What's in a meeting folder

Every meeting gets its own folder of ordinary files on your computer, by default in Documents/Transcript Audio: meeting record, transcript, audio and more.

Last updated

Each meeting is saved in its own folder inside your meetings folder (by default Documents/Transcript Audio). Open it from Recent meetings > Open folder, or the menu bar or tray menu > Open meetings folder.

FileWhat it is
Meeting record.mdThe meeting notes as Markdown (the default; Meeting record.docx when you choose Word): summary, decisions, action plan and the sections your template adds. Written by AI: read it before you rely on it.
Transcript.mdThe word-for-word transcript, with times and speakers (Transcript.docx when you choose Word). Your lines carry your name.
recording.wavThe audio, always kept: Try again and Re-generate notes need it. Your microphone and everyone else are on separate channels.
video.mp4Only when Record video of the meeting is on.
Live Q&A.mdYour questions and answers from Questions as you go, when you used it.
Export filesAny extra formats you switched on, such as Meeting record.json or Action items.csv. See Export formats.
meeting.jsonUsed by the app: times, the meeting app, the calendar event, status and the models used.
.meeting/A hidden folder the app uses, including earlier notes after a re-generate.

Renaming and moving

Renaming a meeting folder is safe once the recording has stopped, as long as it stays directly inside your meetings folder. Recent meetings lists every folder there that holds a meeting.json.

Deleting a meeting

Use Delete in Recent meetings: it removes the recording, video, transcript and notes from this computer after a confirmation, and cannot be undone. Deleting the folder yourself does the same. Everything about a meeting is in its folder; there are no copies anywhere else.
