Uninstall or reset

Reset Transcript Audio's settings, reinstall it, or remove it from a Mac or Windows PC, and what happens to your meetings when you do each one.

Reset settings

Each Settings tab has Reset to defaults, which resets that tab only. Settings > Help > Run setup guide again walks you through setup again.

Uninstall

On a Mac

  1. Click the menu bar icon and choose Quit.
  2. In Applications, drag Transcript Audio to the Bin (Trash).
  3. To remove its settings and downloaded models too, delete ~/Library/Application Support/Transcript Audio and ~/Library/Logs/Transcript Audio.
  4. Optionally switch off its entries in System Settings > Privacy & Security (Microphone, Screen & System Audio Recording, Calendars).

On Windows

  1. Click the tray icon and choose Quit.
  2. Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps (Windows 10: Apps & features), find Transcript Audio and choose Uninstall.
  3. Your settings stay so a reinstall picks them up. To remove them, delete %APPDATA%\Transcript Audio and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Transcript Audio.
