After a call, Transcript.audio writes a transcript and meeting notes into the meeting folder. Find them, pick a template, re-generate and export.
Last updated
When a recording stops, Transcript.audio writes a transcript and meeting notes by itself, usually within a minute or two. You find them in the meeting's folder or in Recent meetings. Recordings shorter than 60 seconds are thrown away.
How do I get the notes?
- Record the call. See the guides for Zoom, Teams or Google Meet.
- When recording stops, Recording saved appears. A minute or two later Notes ready appears. Click it to open Recent meetings at that meeting.
- Click Open meeting record for the notes, or Open folder for all the files. The notes are
Meeting record.md(or.docx) and the word-for-word text isTranscript.md. - Check the Not captured list for details nobody mentioned, and read the notes before relying on them.
How do I change what the notes contain?
Choose a template in Settings > Saving, or let the app suggest one from the calendar event title. To write a finished meeting again, open it in Recent meetings, choose another template and click Re-generate notes. The current notes are kept in the folder. See Templates and layouts and Re-generate notes.
Can it pull out action items and other details?
Yes. Add the details you care about under Details to capture, and the notes list what was heard and what was missed. See Details to capture.
How do I get Word or other formats?
Tick Word notes and transcript (.docx) or extras such as captions and an action items CSV under Export formats in Settings > Saving. They are made on your computer. See Export formats and AI meeting summaries and records.
A meeting shows Failed or Waiting. What now?
The recording is safe. Click Try again in Recent meetings. Waiting means it is queued for notes, for example while you are offline. See Notes not written.
