Templates and layouts
Templates decide what the notes contain: the sections, details captured and speaker labels. Pick one, let the calendar suggest one, or write your own.

A template decides what the notes contain: the sections, the details captured and the speaker labels. Set them up in Settings > Saving > Meeting templates.
Built-in templates
- General meeting: summary, key points, decisions and action items for any meeting.
- Client meeting: updates, requests, deliverables and decisions with an existing client.
- Financial adviser fact-find: client and internal meeting records for financial advisers.
- Interview or hiring: candidate background, questions and answers, strengths, concerns and logistics.
- Lecture or class: key concepts, definitions, examples, questions and assignments.
- One-to-one: progress, blockers, feedback and goals.
- Podcast or interview recording: guest summary, topics with timestamps, notable quotes and show notes.
- Sales or discovery call: context, needs, budget and timeline, objections and next steps.
- Stand-up: what each person did, will do and what blocks them.
Choosing a template
- Default template: used for every new meeting unless the calendar title suggests another.
- Suggest a template from the calendar event title: for example "Daily stand-up" uses Stand-up and "Interview: designer" uses Interview or hiring.
- On Free you get General and Your second free template, one more of your choice. Plus and Pro include every template.
My glossary
Names, products and terms to spell exactly, one per line (up to 200 terms, 60 characters each). They are added to the template's own glossary for every meeting.
My templates
On Plus and Pro, Duplicate any template (Start from) to change its sections, details or wording. You can keep up to 20 templates of your own. Each one is a Template definition (JSON) with sections, details to collect, speakers and layouts, checked when you save.
Meeting record layout and format
- Meeting record layout: Automatic (recommended), Client meeting or Internal meeting. Automatic lets the AI tell a client meeting from an internal one; an invite with only colleagues on it is internal unless the AI hears a client meeting.
- Meeting record format, set separately for Client meetings and Internal meetings: Standard layout, with my additions (the default) or My own layout.
- With the standard layout, the optional Instructions can ask for extra sections, a different order or more detail. Extra sections go just before the action plan.
- With My own layout, your instructions set the sections and their order. The Transcript reliability notes section and the AI-generated notice are always added.
- Instructions can be up to 2,000 characters. Reset to the default puts back the standard layout. Changes apply to meetings written from then on.
