Export formats

Choose Markdown or Word notes, save JSON, plain text, VTT and SRT captions and a CSV of actions next to them, and make them again for older meetings.

Last updated

Every meeting gets its notes and transcript as Markdown, Word or both: choose in Settings > Saving > Export formats. Markdown is on by default and at least one stays on; both hold the same content. Tick any extra formats there too, and they are saved in the same folder. They are made on your computer from the notes and transcript, with no extra AI call. The extras are off by default, and everything is available on every plan.

Export again

Export again on a finished meeting in Recent meetings makes the formats you have switched on (including Markdown or Word notes) from that meeting's notes and transcript. No transcription, no AI call.

  • The notes and export files are rewritten after you rename or merge speakers, and after Re-generate notes.
  • Turning a format off never deletes files already written.
  • A format with nothing to show is skipped, for example Action items.csv for a meeting with a transcript only.

The JSON format

Meeting record.json holds the summary, decisions, action items with owner and due date, participants, the details captured, every section of the meeting record and the timed transcript. It follows a published, versioned schema: transcript.audio/schema/meeting-notes.v1.json. Version 1 never changes shape; any change gets a new version.

The CSV format

Columns: Action, Owner, Due, Meeting, Meeting date, Meeting id, so rows from many meetings can be combined. It is UTF-8 with a byte order mark, so Excel reads accents correctly. Due is the words that were said ("by Friday"), not a date.
