AI is included in your plan
Transcription and summaries run on managed AI that is included in every plan. There is nothing to sign up for, no keys to paste and no separate AI bill. Just install the app and record.
What is bring your own key?
Some people already pay an AI provider, or their organisation requires a specific one. Bring your own key will let you connect your own account with a provider, so your AI usage is billed by them directly and runs under your own agreement with them. It will be a separate option, not the default.

For each one, the app will show where to create a key, step-by-step instructions, a tip on limiting spend, and a connection test before anything is saved.
